- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role
- Proficiency in Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Higher National Diploma in Information Technology or a related field is desirable
- CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications are desirable
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Fundamentals (MTA) is desirable
- Experience working within an IT service desk environment
- Ability to manage objects within M365 tenant administration, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, and the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre, as well as on-premises Active Directory management
- Knowledge of networking protocols and hardware, including wired and wireless
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS and Azure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Provide user support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues
- Assist users with IT-related problems, answer queries, and provide training where necessary
- Update Service Desk software to reflect work carried out and keep queues up to date
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and users
- Provide accurate user work instructions and IT technical documentation for incidents, problems, or projects completed
- Perform and monitor updates, backups, and preventive maintenance on all IT systems
- Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of security measures to safeguard organisational data
- Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and installations
- Work with third-party vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues and successful implementation of new systems
