Job Overview

As a key member of the Senior Leadership team, the role holder will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s marketing strategy and plans, by brand, to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, revenue growth, etc. This role provides strategic leadership across all marketing disciplines and ensures alignment with overall business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the ‘voice’ of the consumer and customer internally.
  • Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor the marketing team, setting clear objectives.
  • Be an active member of the Exec team, providing marketing input to key discussions/decisions, and contribute to company-wide strategy and decision-making.
  • Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement the marketing strategy.
    • Develop and implement the annual department plan.
  • Marketing and Promotional Activity:
    • Develop and implement the annual marketing plan by brand.
    • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value through integrated campaigns.
    • Co‑ordinate trade shows to ensure the brand positioning is visible to the retailer and consumer.
    • Manage effective and ongoing communication with the retail base.
    • Ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Digital Marketing:
    • Manage brand websites ensuring they are up to date and recommend ways to drive traffic and sales online.
    • Develop a strong social media presence.
  • Product Development:
    • Understand product lifecycles and recommend courses of action.
    • Develop Commercial Briefs (fabrics and models) and communicate internally to the Design team, for all new product developments.
  • Market Research:
    • Understand and monitor the consumer base across each brand.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
    • Use customer insights and data to inform strategy and improve performance.
    • Track market trends and emerging channels.
    • Work with Commercial to set pricing strategies.
  • Creativity:
    • Lead the creative hub and ensure all work is in line with the brand strategies and positioning.
    • Work with the creative teams to ensure that fabric and product direction is targeted at the desired audience.
    • Establish clear brand propositions and positionings for each brand.
  • Finance:
    • Allocate expenditure across the marketing plan – monitor and control.
    • Report on ROIs for key marketing activity.
    • Set KPIs and regularly report on performance, insights, and impact.
    • Use data and analytics to optimise campaigns and spend.
  • General:
    • Attend key customer meetings and shows to communicate the brand story and understand the needs of the market.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Highly experienced in brand marketing.
    • Significant experience of leading and developing marketing teams.
    • Strong track record of driving growth through marketing.
    • In-depth knowledge of all forms of digital marketing/social media.
    • Experience of working with Marketing and PR agencies and the ability to brief internally and externally as necessary.
    • Track record in overseeing projects from inception through to completion.
    • Commercial acumen and financially aware.
    • Excellent organisational and administration skills.
    • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
