As a Retail Supervisor at Sodexo at Worthy Down Barracks, you'll supervise the day-to-day retail business in our convenience store. Your and your team's role is mostly customer-facing and will interact with our Armed Forces personnel every day, improving quality of life for all that you meet.
What you'll do:
- Ensure completion of all requested/contracted tasks and motivate your team to effectively ensure these are completed in a timely and thorough manner.
- Communicate efficiently about stock management with your team, and keep on top of scheduled deliveries.
- Take charge of monitoring team activity, coordinating daily actions and assisting customers.
- Champion new ways of working within the store through an open mindset and positive attitude.
- Ensure the team are proactive with supporting offers, promotions and any loyalty schemes.
- Carry out cleaning duties in all aspects of the store and facilities.
- Ability and confidence to challenge customers who look under 25 when buying restricted items.
What you bring:
- Supervisory level experience.
- You’ll set a great example for the rest of the team with your hands-on mentality, enthusiasm, and passion for delivering a fantastic customer experience.
- You are not afraid to take the initiative where the retail manager is absent.
- You know how to play a part in creating a great team who share your passion and vision to make every customer's experience outstanding.
- You have experience in opening and closing a store / Key holder experience.
