Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on building services assets with an electrical bias.
- Diagnose faults and repair systems within technical competence.
- Undertake routine inspections and maintenance in accordance with statutory requirements and best practice.
- Complete like-for-like asset replacement and minor new works as directed.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and provide engineering support out of hours when required.
- Complete risk assessments and work safely at all times.
- Supervise specialist subcontractors where required.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, time spent, and materials used.
- Build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and contractors.
- Support and mentor apprentices and junior staff.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and industry regulations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and PPE in good working condition.
- Follow safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation, standards, and best practice.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 5 in Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
- Electrical bias with strong building services maintenance experience.
- Minimum of approximately 7 years' experience in a technical maintenance role.
- Capable of fulfilling an Authorised Person / Responsible Person role.
- Strong practical engineering skills and fault-finding ability.
- Experience working independently in a building services or facilities environment.
- Good knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance requirements.
- IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.
- Ability to plan and manage own workload to meet deadlines.
- Clear communication skills with customers and team members.
Details
- Full time Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.
- £55,000 per annum plus our Sodexo employee benefits package.
