Multi-site: 4 days in Watford, WD18 8YE and 1 day in Huntingdon, PE29 2SE - please note a van will be provided for travel between the two sites.
As a Multi skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) you’ll:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on building services assets with an electrical bias
- Diagnose faults and repair systems within technical competence
- Undertake routine inspections and maintenance in accordance with statutory requirements and best practice
- Complete like-for-like asset replacement and minor new works as directed
- Respond to emergency call-outs and provide engineering support out of hours when required
- Complete risk assessments and work safely at all times
- Supervise specialist subcontractors where required
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, time spent, and materials used
- Build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and contractors
- Support and mentor apprentices and junior staff
- Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and industry regulations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and PPE in good working condition
- Follow safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation, standards, and best practice
What we’re looking for:
- NVQ Level 5 in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
- Electrical bias with strong building services maintenance experience
- Minimum of approximately 7 years’ experience in a technical maintenance role
- Capable of fulfilling an Authorised Person / Responsible Person role
- Strong practical engineering skills and fault-finding ability
- Experience working independently in a building services or facilities environment
- Good knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance requirements
- IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
- Ability to plan and manage own workload to meet deadlines
- Clear communication skills with customers and team members
