Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and service of meals in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring full compliance with EHO guidelines.
  • Work alongside the front‑of‑house team to deliver outstanding service.
  • Cook and serve meals to military personnel, delivering high standards every day.
  • Oversee kitchen sanitation and ensure best practices are always followed.
  • Be part of high‑profile events and special functions, showcasing your culinary expertise.
  • Take part in bulk cooking, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.

Qualifications:

  • Professional chef experience in a catering or hospitality setting.
  • Recognised culinary qualifications (level 3 food hygiene/food safety qualification).
  • Ability to work in a high‑pressure, team‑focused environment.
  • A passion for cooking and delivering top‑quality service.
  • To have pride in working and maintaining a clear and organised environment, and work closely with the head chef to deliver quality food to military personnel.
  • Due to security requirements you must have been continuously resident in the UK for the last 3 years to apply for this position.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Any 5 out of 7 days (0600‑1400, 1130‑1930 weekdays; 1530‑2330 weekends).

Rate: £12.71 per hour.
