About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Stores Operative to support the Executive Chef and catering team in delivering high-quality food and service. You will play a key role in maintaining food standards, compliance, and operational excellence in line with Sodexo policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in ensuring food quality, safety, and hygiene throughout the full food cycle in line with HACCP standards
- Support and guide catering staff to perform their roles to a high standard
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, company, and site Health & Safety, OH&S, COSHH, fire, hygiene, and safe working practices
- Monitor, maintain, and report on the safe use and condition of all equipment
- Maintain agreed stock levels and place orders with Sodexo-nominated suppliers
- Ensure financial documentation, supplier invoices, and unit accounts are accurate and within budget
- Ensure the unit meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and internal audit standards
- Contribute to positive client relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction
- Support company initiatives and drive continuous improvement within the unit
- Ensure the establishment, equipment, and monies are safe and secure at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in catering services
- Experience working in a standards- or compliance-driven environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications or training
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Passion for food, service, and innovation
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
