Job Introduction

A role that keeps you moving – join Sodexo as a Kitchen Porter. As a Kitchen Porter at Sodexo Royal Stoke Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly, working behind the scenes to support our chefs and ensure every dish is served to the highest standard.

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out a range of kitchen porter duties in line with schedules and supervisor instructions
  • Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) legislation and standards
  • Take responsibility for personal and team health & safety, ensuring no risk to others
  • Deliver ad‑hoc food and equipment items to wards and clinical areas
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to support catering service delivery
  • Complete daily records and documentation accurately and on time
  • Move food trolleys and equipment safely, following procedures and escalation routes
  • Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, infection control, and ensure equipment is properly cleaned, serviced, and operational
