As a Barista at Sodexo, you'll craft exceptional coffee and serve delicious food from our diverse menu - think cakes, sandwiches, wraps, paninis, and toasties. Located at Royal Stoke Hospital, you'll help create a welcoming environment that eases the stress of hospital visits by offering warm hospitality and friendly, professional conversations with patients, staff, and visitors alike.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and handle retail/food produce for daily service, ensuring correct storage, stock rotation, allergen safety, and compliance with Sodexo standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service, operate and balance the till accurately, and upsell products to drive sales growth.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, personal hygiene, uniform presentation, and a safe working environment.
• Manage stock levels, promotional activity awareness, and minimise waste or spoilage across all retail areas.
• Participate in required training, appraisals, and competency checks, and support management with additional duties as needed.

What you bring:

• Previous experience in food preparation and service within a fast‑paced, customer‑facing food or retail environment.
• Barista/Costa coffee experience desirable, with Level 2 Food Safety preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers and work with teams at all levels.
• Well‑organised, self‑motivated, and able to manage time effectively while working under pressure.
• Positive, flexible team player with a willingness to learn and develop in the role.
