We are currently seeking a Baking Chef to join our team supporting our corporate client in Royston. This role is primarily focused on producing high-quality, homemade baked goods and desserts for daily service. From comforting crumbles to classic sponges and traditional traybakes, you'll play a key part in delivering fresh, simple, and delicious home baking each day. You'll also provide ad hoc support to the wider kitchen team as required.
What you'll do:
- Prepare and bake a variety of homemade desserts and sweet treats, including crumbles, sponge cakes, traybakes, and other traditional bakes.
- Ensure all items are produced to a consistent, high standard of quality and presentation.
- Follow recipes and portion controls accurately.
- Maintain excellent food safety, allergen awareness, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Keep baking areas, equipment, and storage clean, organised, and safe.
- Support the wider kitchen team with general food preparation and service when required.
- Assist with stock rotation and ingredient ordering where needed.
