Heritage Portfolio are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Event Production and Service Chef to join the team at our Central Production Kitchen in Leith, Edinburgh. We operate within some of Scotland's leading cultural destinations, including Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, The Scottish National Portrait Gallery, V&A Dundee, Mansfield Traquair, the Signet Library and Perth and Musselburgh Racecourses. With an emphasis on fresh, made from scratch cooking, our culinary teams execute outstanding catering and event services, from private dining, weddings and corporate clients to exceptional in-house café services.
Under the guidance of our Executive Chef and culinary development team, you will prepare and deliver a range of menus, from deli style retail offers to high end fine dining experiences, all with our overarching ethos of quality, seasonality, provenance and flavour at their heart.
Package Description
Casual hours 15 per hour, dependent on experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Following production plans and product specs set out daily from the Kitchen management team.
- Ensuring that all relative food safety documentation is completed accurately.
- To support with event service in multiple different venues.
- To be able to work on a variety of different menu styles from sandwiches, cakes & pastry to high end fine dining for both production and service.
Ideal Candidate
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and punctuality.
- Experience in event service and preparation.
Desirable: Food Safety Level 2 qualification minimum.
