As a Security Supervisor with Sodexo at Newbold Revel, Rugby, CV23 0TH, you'll lead our front-line security team and play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure and professional environment across the site. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you'll be visible across the site, supporting and motivating your team while ensuring security procedures, patrols and safety standards are consistently maintained. You'll coordinate team coverage, support training and development and act as a first point of contact for incidents, alarms and security concerns. You'll also step up to support the wider management team when required, so you'll need the confidence to make decisions, remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly with colleagues, clients and external services.

If you're an experienced security professional with a valid SIA licence and previous supervisory experience, this is an opportunity to take responsibility for a busy security operation while developing and supporting a front-line team.

What you'll do:

  • Supervise and support a team of approximately 7 front-line security colleagues.
  • Ensure the site remains safe and secure through effective patrols, safety walks and security checks.
  • Coordinate team coverage and monitor attendance and absence to maintain an effective security service.
  • Lead, motivate and support colleagues, creating an engaged and professional team.
  • Deliver inductions, mandatory training and refresher training, ensuring training records remain up to date.
  • Act as a first point of contact for security incidents, concerns and out-of-hours queries, escalating where appropriate.
  • Respond to fire alarms and emergency situations in line with site contingency and evacuation procedures.
  • Maintain accurate incident logs, security reports, statements and handover documentation.
  • Work closely with the control room to resource planned, reactive and ad-hoc requirements.
  • Address inappropriate behaviour and other issues professionally to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  • Ensure health & safety, security procedures, site policies and relevant standards are consistently followed.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, customers, colleagues and partner organisations.
  • Maintain accurate staff records and support the management of people-related matters in line with company procedures.
  • Deputise for the manager when required and support the wider management of the security service.

What you bring:

  • A valid SIA licence - essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within a similar security role or environment, including supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience leading, supervising and motivating a front-line team.
  • Strong knowledge of security procedures and health & safety requirements.
  • The confidence to respond effectively to incidents and remain calm under pressure.
  • Good written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate logs, reports and statements.
  • Confidence using IT and operational systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to build positive client and customer relationships.
  • A professional approach with a good understanding of confidentiality.
  • The ability to manage changing priorities and respond to the demands of a busy operational environment.
  • The ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role, including regular site patrols.
  • Flexibility around working hours to meet operational requirements.
