As a Food Service Assistant at Sodexo in Priory Kneesworth House you'll play an important part in preparing and serving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery and wellbeing. You'll also help maintain a clean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas. With a cheerful attitude and great customer service, your presence can make a real difference in someone's day.

What you'll do:

  • Assist with the setup, serving, and restocking of hot and cold meals from counters and steam tables
  • Maintain high cleanliness standards by sanitising workstations, equipment, and all service areas
  • Safely operate cleaning and catering equipment (e.g. carpet cleaners)
  • Support daily operations including waste removal, stock checks, and record updates
  • Follow recipes and guidelines to estimate food quantities and ensure efficient service
  • Clear down and reset food stations at the end of each service period
  • Comply with all food safety, health & safety, and company policies, reporting any issues promptly
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude while completing all required training on time
