The experience we are interested in
We are keen to connect with people who combine sound technical knowledge with an approachable, practical style. You should be comfortable building relationships, advising managers and translating safety requirements into clear actions.
Your experience may include:
- Providing health and safety advice to operational teams and managers.
- Undertaking audits and inspections and supporting corrective actions.
- Reviewing risk assessments, safe systems of work and contractor arrangements.
- Supporting incident investigations and using findings to prevent recurrence.
- Delivering training and encouraging positive safety behaviours.
- Analysing performance information and producing clear, practical reports.
- Supporting compliance programmes and continuous improvement.
- Working collaboratively with clients, colleagues and specialist advisers.
About you
We would welcome interest from professionals with:
- A NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent professional Health & Safety qualification, with an interest in further development.
- A strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and its practical application.
- Experience in an operational Health & Safety role.
- The confidence to engage with stakeholders at different levels and constructively challenge when needed.
- Strong analytical, communication and report writing skills.
- The ability to organise priorities, work independently and contribute to a wider team.
We would also be interested to hear about any lead auditor qualifications in ISO 9001 or ISO 45001, food safety qualifications, environmental knowledge or facilities management experience.
Specific qualification, travel and working arrangements will be discussed as part of any conversation about a suitable opportunity.
