We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Porter Chargehand to join our team at North Devon District Hospital.   • Lead and supervise a team of Porters, ensuring resources are deployed effectively to meet service demands
  • Support your team with training, performance reviews, and ongoing development
  • Manage workload schedules while responding to urgent requests in a calm, efficient manner
  • Maintain safety and compliance standards in line with Sodexo and NHS Trust policies
  • Build positive relationships with colleagues, hospital staff, and visitors to deliver a professional, caring service
  • Champion a Zero Harm mindset, ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of your team at all time

    Previous experience in a facilities, healthcare, or support services environment

  • Competent IT skills – Microsoft word and excel formulas, spreadhsheets
  • Strong team leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Good knowledge of health and safety practices and willingness to undertake further training
  • Organised, proactive, and able to remain calm under pressure

  • £12.59 per hour +enhancements
