Lounge Chef – Role Overview
Lounge Chef at Sodexo. Responsible for preparing and presenting menu items, ensuring culinary standards, supporting food and kitchen operations, managing stock, training staff, and maintaining hygiene and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present all menu items to maintain high culinary standards and prompt service.
- Support the delivery of required food and kitchen operation standards.
- Check and receive goods to ensure they meet required standards, informing about discrepancies or unavailable items.
- Demonstrate good customer service to clients, staff, and customers.
- Adhere to company Personal and Food Hygiene, Health and Safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain buffet and stock levels of all food and beverage items, replenishing regularly and following food and safety standards, including HACCP.
- Provide training and guidance to service staff on food presentation and display.
- Ensure sufficient preparation for the following shift.
Ideal Candidate
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and develop craft skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous chef experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic food hygiene knowledge.
- Team player.
Package Details
- Casual hours with the potential to turn into a permanent contract.
- Shift example: 4 days on, 2 days off, hours between 8 am – 3 pm.
- £16 per hour.
- Car park provided.
- Must provide 5 years of working history and UK address history.
