We are looking for a proactive and quality-focused Hub Manager to join our Education, Skills and Work team at HMP Peterborough. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the quality of education provision, learner progress, and continuous improvement across the department. Working closely with internal teams and education providers, you will ensure high standards of teaching, learning, quality assurance, and compliance while supporting the rehabilitation and resettlement of prisoners. HMP Peterborough is the UK’s first purpose-built prison to house both men and women on the same site. With high levels of physical security, it provides needs-led personal development services tailored to both populations. As a resettlement-focused establishment, it offers a wide range of educational, vocational and behavioural programmes, alongside workshops, accredited training and employment opportunities that build practical skills for release. Main Responsibilities- Lead and manage quality assurance activities across the Education, Skills and Work function to ensure education provision meets high standards.
- Monitor learner progress, achievement, and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Produce and contribute to Self-Assessment Reports (SARs), quality assurance calendars, and preparations for internal and OFSTED audits.
- Manage relationships with education providers and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality and compliance.
- Ensure all education data is accurately maintained across relevant systems, including Curious, VC2, and CMS.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to staff while ensuring compliance with national policies, local procedures, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Holds a full teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent), or is willing to work towards one.
- Holds a recognised Leadership and Management qualification, or is willing to complete one.
- Has experience leading teams and driving quality improvement within an education environment.
- Demonstrates excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Is passionate about education, rehabilitation, and supporting positive outcomes for learners.
- Has strong IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records and producing management reports.
- Experience within a prison or secure environment is desirable.
