Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and service of meals in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring full compliance with EHO guidelines.
- Work alongside the front‑of‑house team to deliver outstanding service.
- Cook and serve meals to military personnel, delivering high standards every day.
- Oversee kitchen sanitation and ensure best practices are always followed.
- Be part of high‑profile events and special functions, showcasing your culinary expertise.
- Take part in bulk cooking, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
Qualifications
- Professional chef experience in a catering or hospitality setting.
- Recognised culinary qualifications (level 3 food hygiene/food safety qualification).
- Ability to work in a high‑pressure, team‑focused environment.
- A passion for cooking and delivering top‑quality service.
- To have pride in working and maintaining a clear and organised environment, and work closely with the head chef to deliver quality food to military personnel.
- Due to security requirements you must have been continuously resident in the UK for the last 3 years to apply for this position.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Any 5 out of 7 days (0600‑1400, 1130‑1930 weekdays; 1530‑2330 weekends).
Rate: £12.71 per hour.
