We are seeking a Staffing and Recruitment Coordinator to join our team at Newcastle United F.C., helping to recruit, manage, and engage our casual workforce to deliver exceptional matchday and event experiences. This is a pivotal role ensuring the smooth operation of staffing, from recruitment and training through to matchday coordination and payroll; keeping our teams motivated, compliant, and performing at their best.
What you'll do:
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and induction of casual staff for matchdays and events.
- Ensure all Right to Work and compliance checks are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate training sessions and ensure all staff are fully prepared for their roles.
- Manage staffing levels across matchdays, weekly shifts, and events to meet operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and profiles on labour management systems.
- Monitor absenteeism, performance, and engagement of casual staff.
- Oversee uniform stock, ordering, and standard compliance.
- Complete matchday payroll and assist with weekly payroll when required.
- Act as the first point of contact for casual staff, handling queries and communication.
- Support HR‑related tasks, recruitment strategies, and labour planning initiatives.
- Ensure all activities comply with Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, and Sodexo values.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, supporting operational excellence across the venue.
What you bring:
Essential:
- Strong administration skills with an ability to manage high volumes of data.
- Experience within the catering or hospitality industry.
- Excellent IT and computer literacy, particularly with HR/labour management systems.
- Strong communication, organisational, and planning skills.
- Knowledge of recruitment processes and staff engagement techniques.
- Analytical and decision‑making skills to manage a large casual workforce.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service through team performance.
Desirable:
- Payroll processing experience.
- Previous HR experience.
- Familiarity with large‑scale event staffing or stadia operations.
