Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team of casual catering staff across kiosks, stands, or service points during matchdays and events.
- Ensure smooth, efficient, and high‑quality food and beverage service throughout busy operational periods.
- Allocate tasks, direct staff, and support team members to maintain service standards and speed.
- Act as the main point of contact for staff during service, escalating issues to management when required.
- Monitor staff performance and provide on‑the‑spot guidance, coaching, and support.
- Ensure all service areas are fully prepared, stocked, and operational before gates open and during events.
- Oversee till operations, cash handling, and payment procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health & safety, allergen control, and stadium operational procedures.
- Support effective queue management and customer flow to maximise efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and service issues professionally and promptly.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or issues to management in a timely manner.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of all catering areas throughout service and during close‑down.
- Complete opening and closing procedures, including setup checks, cleaning, and basic reporting.
- Maintain a calm, organised, and proactive approach in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure stadium environment.
- Support the onboarding and training of new casual staff when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team‑leader role within catering, hospitality, events, or retail environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, direct, and support casual staff during busy matchday operations.
- Confident and calm decision‑maker who performs well under pressure in fast‑paced environments.
