We are looking for a Casual Matchday Stadium Catering Cook at Sodexo Live, St James’ Park, Newcastle United Football Club. The role involves preparing stadium catering menu items during matchday events and supporting a fast‑paced catering environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook stadium catering menu items quickly and consistently during matchday and event service.
  • Operate kitchen and catering equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, ovens, and hot holding units.
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented in line with venue quality and portion standards.
  • Maintain high levels of speed and accuracy during busy service periods.
  • Support food preparation tasks, including ingredient prep, stock organisation, and replenishment.
  • Monitor food temperatures and ensure all food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
  • Keep kiosk kitchen areas, cooking stations, and equipment clean, organised, and well maintained.
  • Work closely with kiosk front‑of‑house staff to ensure smooth and efficient customer service.
  • Assist with stock rotation and minimise food waste in line with catering procedures.
  • Follow allergen, health & safety, and stadium operational guidelines at all times.
  • Communicate stock shortages or equipment issues promptly to supervisors or kitchen management.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and equipment checks.
  • Adapt quickly to high‑volume service demands and changing matchday requirements.
