We\’re now looking for a Multi-Skilled Technician (Engineer) to join our Facilities Management team at the Welsh Government BCP site.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain, repair, and install critical plant and building systems
- Deliver a mix of electrical, mechanical, and general building tasks
- Respond to emergency faults and minimise downtime
- Work with specialist contractors and integrate their work into site operations
- Take ownership of key systems such as BMS, HVAC, fire safety, and boiler control systems
What you bring:
- Must-Haves:
- Recognised qualifications in HVAC (City & Guilds) and/or electrical/mechanical services
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on engineering experience in building maintenance
- Confidence diagnosing faults and performing multi-trade repairs
- Strong understanding of statutory building requirements and asset lifecycles
- Comfortable working with digital systems (PDA/CAFM)
- Valid UK driving licence and ability to pass BPSS vetting (inc. DBS)
Bonus Points if You Have:
- HNC/HND in an engineering or building services discipline
- Asbestos awareness, CSCS certificate, or experience with PDA systems
- Additional trade skills or certifications
