Part Time Motor Transport Driver £15.02 per hour. Car parking available on site. Note: You will be required to take a First Aid Training course on site if you do not have this already.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Motor Transport Driver to join our team at FMSP Portsmouth. You will operate a variety of vehicles, including passenger-carrying vehicles (coach/minibus), light goods vehicles (van/pick-up), and cars to meet our clients' diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure vehicles are fully compliant with the Road Traffic Act and DVSA requirements.
  • Report and rectify any vehicle defects.
  • Complete all necessary documentation in accordance with legal and operational standards.
  • Work a 20-hour week, up to 5 days per week, as directed.
  • Undertake overtime and occasional overnight tasks as needed.
  • Maintain vehicles in a clean and presentable condition.
  • Perform transport office administration and other related duties.
  • Support team members and cover for staff when necessary.
  • Promote a safe working environment, complying with health and safety legislation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • PCV Category D1/D license with at least 2 years' experience.
  • Driver CPC (DE) Qualification Card.
  • Driver Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
  • Understanding of Road Transport legislation.
  • Driving experience with basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
