Sodexo is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Technical Manager to lead the delivery of Hard FM services at Wythenshawe Hospital - a complex, high-profile acute healthcare environment. This is not just an operational role. We are looking for a strategic leader who can drive performance, lead compliance excellence, and influence stakeholders across a multi-partner PFI contract landscape. You will play a key role in ensuring that critical estate services are not only maintained but continually improved to support outstanding patient care.
What You'll Be Driving
- Strategic service delivery: Lead the optimisation of PPM and reactive maintenance programmes to improve service efficiency, asset performance, and contract outcomes.
- Compliance & governance leadership: Ensure full statutory compliance across the estate, embedding best practice aligned to HTMs, HBNs, and regulatory frameworks.
- Stakeholder influence: Build trusted relationships with NHS Trust representatives, Project Co, and internal teams to deliver aligned, high-performing services.
- Performance & continuous improvement: Use data, KPIs, and audit outcomes to identify improvement opportunities and drive measurable service enhancements.
- People leadership: Develop and lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams, fostering capability, accountability, and a strong safety culture.
- Contract and commercial awareness: Operate effectively within a PFI framework, understanding risk, compliance obligations, and service delivery requirements.

- A recognised qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Engineering.

- Experience operating within PFI or similar contract frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and deliver through others.
- A proactive, solution-led mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve existing ways of working.
