Job Introduction: Junior Estates Officer (Lifts and LOLER) – Monday to Friday, shifts 08:00-16:00 or 07:00-15:00, hourly pay £20.44‑£24.61 dependant on experience. Location: Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9WL.

What You’ll Do:

  • Carry out monthly PPM
  • Complete basic repairs on hoists including diagnosing issues
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Perform monthly meter readings
  • Repair and diagnose issues to baths
  • Ensure all lift door tracks are clear on site
  • Support shift in completing lift PPMs on site
  • Work with the insurance company to have repaired hoists cleared by inspection
  • Organise and monitor lifting equipment on site
  • Assist with fire calls and lift trappings on site when required

What You Bring:

  • HTM 08 Lifts Authorised Person Certificate (Desirable)
  • Experience in the maintenance of lift / LOLER services
  • Experience in the management of contracts and contractors
  • Working knowledge of all health and safety legislation affecting work
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office and email usage
  • Ability to plan and programme work to achieve best value
  • Ability to manage, prioritise and plan own workload, deliver work within required time scales and make decisions
  • Broad knowledge of electrical engineering services
