The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and minor works, ensuring all systems and assets are maintained safely and efficiently to the required standards.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose faults and repair building services assets within technical capability
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Complete like-for-like asset replacements and minor new works as directed
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations and industry best practice
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and internal teams
- Support and mentor apprentices and junior team members
- Work independently to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Follow health & safety procedures and safe systems of work at all times
- Use CAFM/CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage maintenance tasks and records
- Support sustainability initiatives and understand the impact of operational activities
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience
- Approximately 5 years’ experience working as a Technician within a maintenance environment
- Ability and willingness to fulfil an Authorised Person or Responsible Person role
- Strong practical engineering and technical maintenance skills
- Good understanding of engineering compliance and industry best practice
- Experience working independently within a technical maintenance environment
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures and standards
- IT literate, including experience using Microsoft Office and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Ability to self-manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
- Understanding of Helpdesk procedures and workflow requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Building Services qualification at NVQ Level 4 or equivalent
- Experience working with safe systems of work and operational procedures
