This role provides service to lounge customers in Terminal 1 of Manchester Airport.
Responsibilities
- Set the service areas, ensuring condiments, glasses, cups, and other supplies are neatly arranged.
- Ensure all beverages are displayed according to specification.
- Ensure the coffee machine is ready to use.
- Load service counters as directed and maintain sufficient supplies throughout the service period.
- Ensure the lounge seating area is clean and that sofa chairs and tables are arranged as per the lounge plan.
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the dining, bar, and buffet areas at all times.
- Clear table areas, ensuring all used crockery, cutlery, and glasses are removed and taken to the dishwashing area.
- Provide efficient and friendly service to lounge customers, ensuring all their needs are met.
- Build rapport with and interact with customers.
- Report any customer feedback (complaints and compliments) and take remedial action where possible.
- Liaise with the chef on duty and the Emirates lounge team, as required.
- Maintain lounge cleanliness during operating hours.
- Empty waste bins as necessary, wipe clean and replace liners.
- Handle the coffee machine cleaning process after the lounge closes.
- Wipe all tables, cupboards, desks, and other furniture free from finger, food, and beverage stains.
- Vacuum carpets to remove soil, dirt, and crumbs (where applicable).
- Sweep and mop tiled areas (where applicable).
- Adhere to any reasonable request from managers and supervisors while on shift.
- Ensure the bars are set up to the company's high standard and agreed specification.
- Complete temperature records and cleaning schedules, reporting any discrepancies to the line manager.
- Assist management with stock take as required.
- Ensure all products stored and displayed are date-coded, stock-rotated, and labelled correctly, using the shelf-life rule.
- Comply with all legal and company procedures relating to food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and personal hygiene.

- Barista trained.
- Highly motivated.

- Ability to work on own initiative within a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits
- Rate of pay: £13.90 per hour.
- Must provide five years of working history in the UK and UK address history.
- The role will become permanent upon gaining references for a full background check.
