What You'll Do:
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine checks on Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Diagnose and repair faults in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems promptly and effectively.
- Manage and document maintenance activities, including logging equipment status and maintaining job worksheets.
- Requisition and verify materials and spare parts required for maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions, perform repairs, and make minor installation decisions as necessary.
- Ensure the safety of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems and liaise with subcontractors for safe maintenance.
- Make recommendations for equipment replacement when repair costs exceed replacement value.
- Maintain operational readiness by ensuring systems are on and functioning at the scheduled times.
What You Bring:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification required.
- A Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.
- NHS or healthcare facilities experience.
- A formal qualification in Refrigeration and Air conditioning with experience in Air Conditioning and refrigeration Plant.
- Excellent communications both written and verbal.
- Numerate and computer literate.
- High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels and disciplines within the trust.
- Flexible with the ability to work under pressure whilst looking for continual improvements to service delivery.
- Fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.
- An appreciation of Risk Assessment techniques as applied to Estates activity.
- Must have commitment, motivation and vision.
