We are looking for a Maintenance Operative (Semi Skilled) to join our team at HMP Addiewell. You will deliver a consistent, high-quality service across site, ensuring all work meets company standards, contract requirements, and KPI expectations. The role requires full compliance with health and safety, hygiene, fire, and COSHH regulations, while actively supporting a positive safety culture and company policies. You will also play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:
- Complete general maintenance and repairs to ensure the safe and efficient running of the establishment.
- Carry out all work in line with health and safety regulations and industry best practice.
- Adhere to tool control and security procedures at all times.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner.
- Support project work as directed by the Facilities Management team.
- Participate in a call-out rota where required.
- Supervise prisoner working parties where applicable.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, compliant, and effective environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Understanding of safety rules.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management.
- Efficiency and discretion.
- Held a similar role previously or has the skills set required for the position.
- Able to pass an enhanced disclosure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Essential Skills:

This role is a 9 month fixed term contract, £26,000 - £28,000 per annum.
