As an FM Apprentice, you'll join our friendly on-site teams at the University of Greenwich and begin a structured journey into the world of Facilities Management, an exciting, varied, and growing industry. No two days look the same in FM! As an apprentice, you'll rotate across key areas and learn how we keep our campuses running smoothly, safely, and sustainably. Throughout your journey, you'll have supportive managers and colleagues guiding your development every step of the way.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the delivery of both hard and soft FM services across multiple university sites
- Assist with health & safety checks, statutory compliance, and routine inspections
- Help coordinate contractors and suppliers, gaining insight into service delivery
- Respond to operational requests and provide excellent customer service
- Learn how to maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
- Join managers on audits, risk assessments, and site visits
- Build confidence in communication, teamwork, and professional relationships
- Balance on-the-job learning with completing your IWFM Level 3 Apprenticeship
What We’re Looking For:
Skills & Attributes:
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage time well
- A confident communicator who enjoys working with others
- Proactive, positive, and keen to learn new skills
- Great attention to detail
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
Knowledge & Experience (desirable, not essential):
- Any awareness of Facilities Management or health & safety
- Previous experience in customer service, admin, or operational roles
Qualifications:
- GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C or above) - essential
- Willingness to complete the FM Level 3 Apprenticeship - essential

Eligibility for Apprenticeship:
- You should have resided in the UK for the past 3 years or possess "settled status."
- You must not have acquired similar prior learning.
- Have Maths and English qualifications at GCSE level 4/C or equivalent essential
