We are looking for an experienced Food Service Assistant / Barista to join our small and dedicated team, working on-site at Shell, a globally recognised energy company. This is a front-of-house role within a flagship business environment, so confidence, professionalism, and strong customer service skills are essential.

What you'll do:

  • Support daily food service operations including counter service, deli food preparation, and barista coffee making, while delivering a consistently high standard of customer care.
  • Provide excellent customer service through the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages.
  • Prepare deli sandwiches, beverages, and barista-style coffee to required standards.
  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation and professionalism.
  • Support the setup and presentation of food service areas & maintain cleanliness.
  • Assist with replenishing food, beverages, and equipment during service.
  • Assist with stock control, minimising waste, and supporting sales.
  • Handle food carefully, including awareness of special dietary requirements and allergies.
  • Report customer feedback, complaints, incidents, or hazards promptly.
  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues and promote a strong team culture.
  • Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
  • Follow all company and client policies and site regulations.
  • Comply with food hygiene, health and safety, fire safety, COSHH, and safe working practices.
  • Be aware of workplace hazards and report concerns appropriately.
