About the Role
- We are looking for an experienced
- Catering Supervisor to join our team at the
- Shell Centre in Waterloo
As Catering Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our front-of-house catering operation.
Working closely with the Catering Manager, you will lead and support the catering team to deliver a consistently high standard of food service, customer experience and operational performance.
This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will lead by example, develop your team and help ensure the highest standards of food safety, health and safety, presentation and service are maintained.
What You'll Do
- Supervise, motivate and develop the catering team, including agency staff.
- Oversee daily front-of-house catering operations and events.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, health & safety and service.
- Manage stock, ordering, stock rotation and stock counts.
- Support staff recruitment, induction, training and performance management.
- Ensure company policies, procedures and contract standards are followed.
- Build positive relationships with clients and customers.
- Complete required administration, audits and compliance documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve service and generate additional revenue.
- Deputise for the Catering Manager when required.
Essential
- Previous catering, hospitality or food service experience.
- Experience supervising and leading a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good organisational and computer skills.
- Experience working in a standards and compliance-focused environment.
- Good understanding of catering operations and budget management.
Desirable
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Experience in training and coaching teams.
- Good financial awareness.
