We are looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our catering team at Elanco AH in Speke.
You'll play an important part in delivering a high-quality food service, helping with food preparation, serving customers and ensuring the kitchen and service areas are kept clean, safe and well organised.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team and providing excellent customer service in a busy catering environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of food for the restaurant, hospitality and special functions.
- Serve meals and beverages to customers during service.
- Provide a friendly, professional and efficient service.
- Operate tills accurately and handle customer transactions securely.
- Keep kitchen, counter, storage and service areas clean and tidy.
- Operate the dishwasher and support the smooth flow of clean crockery and equipment.
- Help maintain vending machines, including cleanliness and stock levels.
- Complete required food temperature and wastage records.
- Follow all food hygiene, Health & Safety, COSHH and site procedures.
- You'll be someone who takes pride in delivering a great service and works well with both customers and colleagues.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working in a busy catering or food service environment.
- Experience of cash handling and operating tills.
- The ability to work independently when required.
- A positive approach to teamwork.
- A good understanding of the importance of food hygiene, cleanliness and Health & Safety.
