We are looking for a motivated and customer‑focused Food Service Assistant to join our team and support the delivery of high‑quality food and service at our client site in Liverpool. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our catering service runs smoothly across the main restaurant, hospitality events, and vending services, while delivering excellent service to our customers. If you thrive in a busy catering environment, take pride in great service, and enjoy working as part of a team, this could be the role for you.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in preparing and presenting food to Sodexo and client standards across daily service and events.
- Serve meals and beverages to customers efficiently and professionally.
- Operate tills accurately, ensuring all transactions are recorded and customer flow is maintained.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, counters, storage, and service areas at all times.
- Operate dishwashers and support effective kitchen flow.
- Refill and maintain stock levels and cleanliness of vending machines.
- Record food temperatures and wastage as required.
- Comply fully with food hygiene, health & safety, and COSHH regulations.
- Work flexibly across duties and support colleagues to uphold a "One Team" culture.

- Confident using a till and handling cash accurately.
- A team player who can also work independently when needed.
- Awareness of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety standards.
