Pay: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 15 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (13.30pm-16.30pm)
Location: Leicester Grammar, Stoneygate School, Leicestershire LE8 9DJ
Equated pay (spread‑over pay) means you receive equal monthly amounts for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months.
What You Do
- Prepare and present food to the notified standard, ensuring the ethos of Fresh Food from Scratch is followed
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of work areas and surfaces at all times, especially at the end of each shift
- Serve customers quickly and politely, ensuring good customer service at all times
- Replenish food and equipment to ensure efficient service
- Clear and clean work areas after service periods
- Complete any requested administration, such as recording food temperatures, cleaning schedules, delivery temperatures and stock takes
- Prepare food with due care, attending to special dietary requirements, allergens and shelf life
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized and comply with all food safety and health and safety policies and procedures
- Complete all cleaning schedules to agreement standard
- Promote a friendly working relationship with colleagues
- Undertake training and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Raise any issues to the Head Chef or Catering Manager in a timely manner
- Report any incidents of accidents, near misses, fires, loss, theft, damage, unfit food or other irregularities
- Work at school events, as required, with occasional evening and weekend work
- Assist with the set up, service, clearing and cleaning of function catering as requested
- Carry out any reasonable request by management
- Assist in other local units as may be necessary in an emergency
