Join Sodexo as a Weekend Cook within our National Probation Service Approved Premises in Liverpool. In this lone-working role, you’ll prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff, helping to create a safe, welcoming environment. You’ll take ownership of all food preparation during weekend shifts, ensuring meals are delivered to a high standard in line with food safety requirements. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, supporting individuals as they transition back into the community while working in a meaningful residential setting.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Deliver excellent food service while consistently maintaining high standards
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and EHO regulations at all times
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation in line with best practice standards

What you bring:

  • Previous experience as a cook or chef within a catering, hospitality, or foodservice environment
  • Relevant culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards, with IOSH qualification desirable
  • Passion for food, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for delivering quality meals
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
