You\’llbe in charge of all aspects of food production at the site, workingindependently to deliver meals that meet the needs of the residents. ApprovedPremises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison,offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within thecommunity.This role offers valuable experience working in a residentialsetting with individuals facing complex challenges. What you\’ll do:

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare and cook a variety of meals according to scheduled menus for residents and staff.
• Manage your own schedule and kitchen operations, ensuring meals are prepared and served on time with minimal supervision.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all areas, including the kitchen and dining spaces.
• Restock essential kitchen supplies like ingredients, utensils, and cleaning products.
• Communicate with site staff and other departments as needed, providing updates and ensuring smooth operations.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times, ensuring compliance while working alone.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cooking or catering role is essential, along with a reasonable knowledge of food safety and kitchen procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time and tasks efficiently while working alone.
• The ability to remain self-motivated and proactive when working without direct supervision.
• A positive, independent, and team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to follow direction when needed.
