Sodexo is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. This is a key role in supporting the smooth and safe running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety are maintained at all times. You will work closely with the wider kitchen team, building positive working relationships while following Sodexo and client policies, health and safety regulations, and safe working practices to help create a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen by delivering a reliable and efficient kitchen portering service across the site.
- Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and well organised, following all health & safety, hygiene, and company standards at all times.
- Look after cleaning materials, stock, and equipment, making sure everything is stored safely, used correctly, and reported if faulty.
- Work closely with the kitchen team, Site Manager, and Head Chef, attending team meetings and helping to create a positive, supportive working environment.
- Use company and client systems correctly, carry out regular cleaning checks, and report any issues, feedback, or compliments as needed.
- Reliable, organised, and able to follow instructions and standards consistently.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a kitchen or similar team-based environment would be helpful.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn, develop new skills, and take part in training.
- Friendly and clear communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with colleagues, customers, and clients.
- A team player who enjoys working with others and contributing to a supportive working environment.
