£12.24 per hour, 40 hours per week.

Working pattern: 5 days over 7, 8 hours per day between 7am-7pm.

As a Kitchen Porter for Sodexo at Reed's School, Cobham, Surrey, you will be a key part of the kitchen team. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen and food & beverage preparation areas. What you'll do:

  • Wash all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and equipment, including food service equipment.
  • Ensure that the following are kept clean and tidy to a very high standard: Floors & Walls, Bins - inside and out, Crushing and disposal of cardboard and boxes, Fridges & Freezers (with assistance of chefs), Delivery areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of working areas.
  • Adhere to all health and safety, fire, hygiene, and COSHH regulations governing your work, and ensure the correct chemicals/detergents are always used.
  • Report all accidents (and near misses) to the Chef.
  • Report shortages in equipment or chemicals to the Supervisor.

  • Physical ability to lift heavy items and work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours).
