Hours: 30 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday-Thursday between 7am - 5pm

Rate Of Pay: £16.24 Per Hour + Sodexo rewards and benefits.

Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Chef to join our brand-new flagship site in Kingston, supporting the delivery of a premium 5-star catering experience. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will support daily food preparation and service, ensuring high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency. You will assist with stock counts, manage service lines, and follow recipes accurately while strictly adhering to company allergen management and food safety procedures. This role requires a chef who is organised, professional, and confident working within a high-end corporate hospitality environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide catering services to company standards within the scope of the contract.
  • Support the Head Chef with stock counts and daily service operations.
  • Prepare, cook, and present food in line with approved recipes and specifications.
  • Maintain responsibility for all stores, fridges, and freezers, ensuring organisation and compliance.
  • Ensure services are delivered on time and within contract specification.
  • Promote teamwork and liaise effectively with colleagues.
  • Assist in maintaining efficient ordering and kitchen record systems in line with company policy.
  • Support deliveries and ensure correct stock rotation procedures are followed.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation across all kitchen areas.
  • Ensure the safety and security of company and client property, including confidential information.
  • Comply with all company and client policies and statutory regulations, including fire safety, health & safety, food hygiene, working safely, and COSHH.
  • Report complaints, compliments, incidents, and irregularities to the line manager, taking appropriate action where possible.
  • Support preparation for audits and inspections.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant cooking qualification (NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent).
  • Food Hygiene certification.
  • Strong understanding of allergen management and food safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • IT literate and comfortable maintaining digital records.
  • High standard of personal hygiene and professional appearance.
