Job Introduction

At Sodexo, we\’re proud to support the Armed Forces at RAF Brize Norton, and we\’re looking for a friendly, reliable Inflight Catering Food Service Assistant to help us deliver high-quality service where it really matters. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you\’ll work closely with military personnel, ensure aircraft are fully stocked, and play a key part in day-to-day operations. If you\’re a team player who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment, we\’d love to hear from you.

What you\’ll do:

  1. Load and unload catering equipment and supplies onto aircraft
  2. Prepare and assemble catering items for flight service
  3. Operate vehicles on the airfield safely and efficiently
  4. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  5. Marshal high-lift vehicles and support airside operations
  6. Communicate effectively with military personnel
  7. Support both front and back of house operations – no two days are the same!
  8. Respond to food and beverage enquiries and special requests
  9. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all catering areas
  10. Complete daily checklists and compliance documentation accurately
  11. Assist with basic admin tasks related to operational catering

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A full UK driving licence – essential
  • A friendly, positive attitude with professionalism and respect for others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Basic food-handling knowledge is a bonus – but no previous experience is required. Full training will be provided.
