Hygiene Operative
Location: Mars Pet Care, Oak Tree Meadow, Blackworthy Road, Castle Cary, BA7 7PH
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Rate: £12.70 per hour

Sodexo is seeking a dedicated Hygiene Operative to join our team at a prestigious corporate client site. We value our people for who they are, and in this role you’ll be part of a supportive team where your attention to detail and commitment to high standards truly make a difference.
What you’ll do:
- Completing daily cleaning tasks across the site, including offices, communal areas, washrooms, corridors, and production-adjacent spaces.
- Maintaining cleanliness of floors, surfaces, touchpoints, and equipment in line with site hygiene standards.
- Managing waste disposal, recycling, and restocking consumables where required.
- Responding promptly to ad-hoc cleaning requests to support site activities and ensure a spotless environment.
- Following all health, safety, and sanitation procedures to help keep the workplace safe for colleagues and visitors.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential—full training will be provided.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A flexible attitude and willingness to take on a variety of cleaning tasks throughout the day.
- Good spoken and written communication skills and a positive, proactive approach to work.
