We’re seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to join our dynamic HSEQ team supporting the Shell HQ site in Waterloo, London, plus two small satellite sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compliance professional with a background in Health & Safety and Hard FM/M&E environments, who thrives in a structured, audit-focused role.
You'll manage statutory and regulatory compliance, quality assurance audits, and training coordination without line management responsibilities. We’re particularly looking for someone who has demonstrated commitment in past roles, has a strong foundation in compliance and Health & Safety, and is available to start within a short notice period (ideally within a month).
What you'll do:
- Ensure all statutory and mandatory inspections are completed and recorded in the CAFM system, with timely follow-up on any corrective or preventive actions.
- Conduct regular internal audits and compliance reviews, identifying gaps and driving continuous improvement across the account.
- Manage compliance data and documentation, ensuring accurate records are maintained and readily accessible for audits.
- Oversee subcontractor compliance, ensuring all vendors meet required safety, legal, and operational standards in line with company governance protocols.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar role & Proven experience within a Hard FM/ M&E environment
- Understanding and experience with CAFM systems.
- Ability to plan and achieve results in difficult situations and in limited timeframe
- Confident and adept communicator, with the ability to operate effectively at all levels
- Calm & logical under pressure but must understand urgency and respond accordingly
- Computer literate with knowledge of Excel and (other) software packages
- Good organisational /communication skills, able to integrate with different teams across the account.
- Understanding in ISO9000 Quality Management Systems
- NEBOSH / IOSH qualification desirable.
