Sodexo Live! is seeking a visionary Head of Sales – Sports & Stadia to lead our proactive sales strategy across our prestigious UK stadia and racecourse venues, owning £14m in revenue. This unique opportunity allows you to shape the future of venue sales in the MICE sector, working with some of the most exciting locations in the country.
What Success Looks Like In This Role
- Conversion up, quarter on quarter
- Accurate forecasts and a well-aged pipeline with clear stage progression
- New key accounts opened each quarter (agency & corporate)
- Venue recovery plans delivering on milestones and margin
- A motivated, accountable team hitting monthly targets
What You’ll Be Doing
- Sales Leadership & Strategy: Drive national sales performance, pipeline growth, and margin improvement.
- Account Management: Build and nurture strategic MICE accounts, ensuring seamless delivery and long-term partnerships.
- Venue Sales Support: Coach and empower venue-based sales teams to exceed targets and deliver exceptional results.
- Market Engagement: Represent Sodexo Live! at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings to elevate our brand.
- People Management: Lead and inspire a team of BDMs, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Sales Tools & Reporting: Leverage Salesforce and Tyhnk to track performance, forecast growth, and maintain data integrity.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven senior sales leadership experience in MICE, hospitality, or sports venues.
- Strong UK conference-agency background with proven wins and relationships across leading MICE agencies.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering revenue growth.
- Inspirational leader with strong people management and coaching skills.
- Commercially astute, highly organised, and results-driven.
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement.
- CRM-savvy (Salesforce, Tyhnk) and analytical with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Driving licence preferred (significant UK travel, occasional overnight stays and weekends for client hosting).
