Role Overview

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will oversee the day‑to‑day front‑of‑house catering operation, leading a team of Ward Hosts to deliver an efficient, high‑quality service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will be a visible presence across the hospital, ensuring smooth service delivery, maintaining standards, and supporting both ward and kitchen teams to deliver an outstanding hospitality experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the ward hospitality team, ensuring excellent service delivery
  • Oversee the smooth day‑to‑day running of front‑of‑house operations
  • Be visible across wards, supporting patients and staff and resolving any service issues
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, and quality standards are consistently met
  • Work closely with kitchen teams to ensure timely service and minimise waste
  • Manage staff rotas, including planning cover for holidays and sickness
  • Maintain stock control and ensure correct rotation procedures are followed
  • Ensure all food meets required standards of quality and presentation
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation and audit records
  • Train, support, and develop team members
  • Lead or attend team and client meetings as required
  • Support ward service delivery where needed
  • Report maintenance or operational issues promptly to management
  • Carry out all reasonable requests in line with business needs
