Job Introduction

Job Title: Graduate Nutritionist

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 Depending on experience

Work Pattern – 40hrs pw/ Monday to Friday.

We are on the lookout for a vibrant, recent graduate in Nutrition who possesses a genuine passion for influencing child health and well-being. In this pivotal role, you will work directly with children from affluent backgrounds, employing your expertise in nutrition and diet to foster healthier lifestyle choices. Your ability to connect with young minds, coupled with an energetic and vibrant approach, will be crucial in making a lasting impact.

Some of your responsibilities will include delivering compelling educational sessions in schools, aiming to reshape eating habits and promote a balanced lifestyle among students. Staying abreast of the latest dietary trends among young people will be essential, enabling you to provide relevant and effective guidance. And working alongside chefs in the culinary team to help create innovative and nutritious meals for school menus.

A background in interacting with school pupils, particularly in facilitating physical activities, will greatly enhance your ability to succeed in this role. Your commitment to staying updated with current nutrition trends will ensure that your advice resonates with the young audience, inspiring them to make positive changes.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive the delivery of food strategy within the School & University Segment, ensuring that food nutrition standards are met and aligned with client expectations.
  • Serve as a Segment Ambassador and Subject Matter Expert in Nutrition, Health, and Wellbeing, fostering an environment that promotes informed food choices.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design educational nutrition sessions, enhancing students\’ understanding of healthy eating and dietary habits.
  • Gather insights from clients, students, parents, and stakeholders to continuously improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Develop and implement nutritional initiatives in line with public health goals, partnering with external organisations such as BNF, School Food Plan, and Eatwell Guide.
  • Design innovative themed days that incorporate nutritional guidelines and support the development of chef and front-of-house team training activities.
  • Participate in pupil feedback sessions, conduct research to create case studies, and foster nutritional wellbeing programs in collaboration with sports departments.

What You Bring

  • A deep passion for nutrition, health, and positive eating habits, demonstrated through your personal and professional journey.
  • Hold a BSc degree in nutrition and have experience working with and teaching pupils or students.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, alongside adaptability and a proactive attitude.
  • Results-oriented, organised, and driven by self-motivation.
  • Keen interest in staying updated with the latest research and trends in nutrition.
  • Strong presentation and IT skills, including proficiency in Excel.
