Forklift Driver

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm, with one Sunday shift per month. £15.90 per hour + Sodexo employee benefits package. Opportunities for career development.

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our site operations team. This role is key in supporting the daily running of the site, with a strong focus on forklift operation and general site services.

Responsibilities include:

• The safe movement of materials, equipment, and waste across the site.
• Maintaining clean and functional external areas.
• Operating forklifts and other site transport equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out daily checks and reporting faults on forklifts.
• Transporting waste, including domestic and manufacturing waste (excluding segregation).
• Moving and inspecting Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), ensuring safe handling and storage.
• Supporting the movement of materials and equipment across site.
• Handling helpdesk requests and delivering items to various site locations.
• Promoting recycling and immediately reporting safety concerns or site issues.
• Wearing correct PPE and uniform at all times and maintaining a professional appearance.
• Following all company and site-specific policies and Health & Safety procedures.
• Attending training sessions and carrying out additional duties as required to support the service.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid and up-to-date Forklift Truck licence.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proven experience in a client-facing role.
• Proactive, solutions-driven approach.
• Ability to work well within a team and under pressure.
• Good understanding of facilities or site services operations.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar facilities or logistics role.
• Awareness of Health & Safety regulations and recycling practices.
• Experience operating sweepers or other waste-handling equipment.
