  • 7.5 Hours a Week / Any 1 day out of 7 / Shift Times between 07:30 – 21:30
  • Β£10.45 – Β£12.60 per hour

What you’ll do

  • As a Food Service Assistant at Sodexo in Royal Stoke Hospital, you\\\’ll play an important part in preparing and serving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery and wellbeing. You\\\’ll also help maintain a clean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present retail/food produce for daily service in line with specifications and Sodexo standards
  • Maintain food safety, allergen awareness, stock rotation, and hygiene standards to ensure guest and staff safety
  • Deliver excellent customer service, including upselling and supporting positive feedback and survey results
  • Operate and declare the till daily, accurately capturing all revenue
  • Support promotional activity by maintaining adequate stock levels and minimising waste or spoilage
  • Participate in training, appraisals, and competency checks, and carry out additional duties to support smooth retail operations

What you bring

  • Previous experience in food preparation and service within a fast-paced retail or customer-facing environment
  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification (preferred) with strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers and colleagues at all levels
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively under pressure
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude to learning and personal development
  • Team player who works well collaboratively while maintaining high standards
