In this customer focused Helpdesk role, you'll respond to calls and emails with professionalism and efficiency, coordinating services such as portering, transport, security, housekeeping, catering, and more. What you'll do:- Handle external and internal queries, providing complex or sensitive non-clinical information and passing messages promptly.
- Use initiative to resolve routine and some non-routine problems, escalating only complex issues to the appropriate person.
- Maintain accurate, up to date data in all relevant systems and contribute to the ongoing development of the Facilities Helpdesk.
- Follow departmental procedures, operate office equipment, and ensure the safe use of Helpdesk equipment and headsets during calls.
- Ensure compliance with equality, diversity, health and safety policies, and promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful working environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by participating in training, developing new practices, and incorporating new technology.
- Support environmental sustainability efforts by reducing carbon footprint through proactive actions and resource management.
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
- The ability to work as a part of a team and to collaborate and build relationships with peers and client representatives.
- Must be a team player, who will assist and support colleagues.
- Must be able to use initiative, be efficient and organised with a strategic approach to problem solving.
- Must live within an acceptable travelling time of the hospital and be able to work shifts, must have the ability to work additional hours.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- NVQ in Customer Service.
- Previous work in an NHS/Healthcare environment or understanding Customer Services within a hospital environment.
