We\’re seeking an Environment Manager to lead and coordinate environmental compliance and strategic environmental management across Sodexo UK & Ireland. In this pivotal role, you\’ll ensure alignment with ISO14001 standards, regulatory obligations, and our ambitious ESG commitments. You\’ll design and maintain a clear framework that drives ownership, visibility, and strategic direction, helping us not only meet but exceed our environmental responsibilities – now and in the future. As the regional strategic owner for environmental compliance, you\’ll establish strong governance and clear ownership of environmental processes, ensuring visibility of compliance status and readiness to respond to incidents. You\’ll lead the effective application of ISO certification to meet central and contractual requirements, while championing continual improvement initiatives and driving innovation in environmental management.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the regional ISO14001 certification and associated EMS documentation.
  • Define and implement regional environmental standards and policies.
  • Lead horizon scanning and legal obligations tracking.
  • Coordinate internal audits and incident readiness protocols.
  • Develop and manage regional aspects and impacts register.Support the application of ISO14001 into a contract/site where required.
  • Facilitate environmental campaigns aligned with Better Tomorrow objectives.
  • Represent environmental interests in ESG forums and governance committees.
  • Strategic thinking and governance leadership.
  • Environmental compliance and auditing.
  • Stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination.
  • Project and change management.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
  • ISO 14001 lead auditor certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks and UK&I regulatory landscape.

Compensation & Benefits
